Cone 5-6. A collection of potters' favorite glazes made easy. These glazes are fired in an oxidation kiln. They are made for anyone who would like to achieve the Cone 10 reduction effects without having to have a reduction gas kiln or firing at that high temperature. The PC Series glazes look beautiful and authentic. They work well over any of the AMACO® stoneware or porcelain clays.

PC-4 Palladium (see teapot photo)
A brilliant shimmering silver colored metallic works well over most clay body colors and types, and can be used as a full glaze or as a decorative accent. Palladium is highly reflective and breaks a soft green tone over texture.

PC-41 Vert Lustre (see tile photo)
A rich copper green that exhibits subtle float and a very lustrous glow. A slight hint of metallic float makes Vert Lustre have a stunning reflectance. This glaze is beautiful in combination with our TH-1 High Fire Texturizer.

PC-53 Ancient Jasper (see orb photo)
This glaze exudes the beauty and tones of ancient rock. Deep red tones, purples, yellows, browns, and black all intermingle in this exciting new glaze. Textural pieces allow Ancient Jasper to break up into a rainbow of rich tones which look like a combination of many different glazes.

Class Pack #1 - One pint jar of these six AP colors: Blue Rutile, Temmoku, Oil Spot, Albany Slip Brown, Shino, Salt Buff

Class Pack #2 - One pint jar of these six colors: AP - Ironstone, Chun Plum; CL - Saturation Gold, Textured Turquoise, Seaweed, Lustrous Jade

Class Pack #3 - One pint jar each of these six AP colors: Blue Midnight, Tourmaline, Deep Olive Speckle, Light Sepia, Smoked Sienna, Seep Sienna Speckle

Special application instructions:
PC-20: Blue Rutile needs to be applied heavy. Apply at least four coats. It will flow just a little and create beautiful effects.

PC-50: Shino needs to be applied irregularly. Apply two irregular coats. Once you have used it awhile you will see the effects you can get by varying the application.

PC-60: Salt Buff has to be applied on the thin side. No more than two irregular coats are needed to get the random effect of salt glazing.

25 lb. dipping glazes are packaged in 5 gallon buckets for easy mixing.
