Cone 05. DGs are LEAD FREE and totally opaque. The 24 intense colors are perfect for artists creating art deco pieces including dinnerware, sculpture, table lamps etc. AMACO® Deco Gloss Opaque glazes flow very little during firing which makes them suitable with AMACO® Majolica Gloss Decorating Colors to recreate the Majolica technique. Ideal for use over red 67-M or 77-M clay when intense true color is desired (because of their opacity). Underglazes are not recommended for use under these DG glazes because of their opacity.
Supplied in liquid, ready-to-use form in pint jars. May be applied to mature Cone 04 (1971°F, 1077°C) bisque by brushing, dipping, or pouring. Recommended firing temperature is Cone 05 (1911°F, 1044°C).
