Mix-a-MoldTM:

NON-TOXIC

Mix-a-MoldTM makes it easier than ever before to make perfect reproductions of three dimensional objects. Mix-a-MoldTM is fast and fun and picks up every detail. Supplied in powder form, it mixes with water and the mold is ready in two minutes. Fill the mold with Sculptamold®, Casting Compound or any other casting medium.

Follow the directions on the box for mixing ratios, but remember that you can speed the setting time by increasing the Mix-A-Mold™ used or delay the setting time by increasing the water used. Either way it still will set up in a few minutes. When set, it is a soft and rubbery material. It can be used even when you have undercuts because of its great flexibility.

Mix-A-Mold™ will pick any small detail of the molded piece. It is an excellent tool to reproduce body parts like hands or feet. Add water to Mix-A-Mold™ in an appropriate container and combine quickly. As soon as it is homogeneous, dip your hand or foot into the material. Remember to keep them suspended in the liquid. Wait five to ten minutes for the mix to set up.

Once the product is rubbery, insert the tip of a drinking straw between your hand or foot and the material and blow air with your mouth to separate the mold from your hand or foot. If your hand was cast open, you can pull it out of the mold without having to cut it in two. Mix-A-Mold™ is great for copying any object by suspending it in the wet mix until it sets up.

Molds made with Mix-A-Mold™ have to be used immediately. They will dry and start to deteriorate within a couple of days. They will last a little longer if they are kept refrigerated, but they are definitely not intended for multiple uses.
