Ceramic Installations are a public forum that highlight significant moments in society, when the influence of current events galvanize people to band together in a singular statement. Ceramics can capture emotions and convey them with texture and color and symbolic language. That temporal mood can be captured for posterity in ceramics in a more personal way than with bronze and stone. Many installations are created in order to commemorate a significant contribution or sacrifice that members of a community have made. Think about how a ceramic installation at your school, art center, public library or park can add history, pride and inspiration to your communtiy.
We invite you to send photos and text describing your community’s ceramic installation. Please send information and photos to Rochelle McGriff, Graphic Designer & Website Administrator at rmcgriff@amaco.com. Please specify when AMACO/Brent products have been used.
