“I have been working with Friendly Plastic since 1990. I have never fond another material with such vivid color and so many possibilities… I continue to be inspired by its ease of use and fantastic sculptural possibilities! Katie Argyle

“Friendly Plastic is such a versatile, easy to use product with so many amazing ways to use it–simply fantastic, I love it.” Sara Feeney-Marks

“It simply allows me to think outside the box!” Jen Lowe

“Friendly Plastic is easy to use and allows creativity to flow. Works well with other materials, too. Use molds, cutters, needletools, hands–endless possibilities.” Linda Hess

“This medium is so easy to work with and requires only a few tools to get started. I also love the varieties of colors that Friendly Plastic comes in.” Anne Igou

“This was my first time trying Friendly Plastic. When my daughter was in middle school, she was in a production of ‘I Never Saw Another Butterfly’. It is an incredibly powerful play. This inspired me to be a part of this challenge. I think that many of the butterflies will be stunning to behold.” Michaela Riley

“The shiny metallic colors are sensational! I haven’t been ale to achieve the same effect with anything else.” Sara Kurz

“Friendly Plastic is amazingly simple to use, fun to work with… and very addictive.” Mylene Hillam

“I find Friendly Plastic versatile and easy to work with, and it works brilliantly when combined with other media. It is very easy to achieve a variety of effects, and I don’t wait ages for it to dry! Siam Cheetham

The Poem that Inspired the Symbol of the Butterfly:

For seven weeks I’ve lived in here,
Penned up inside this ghetto.
But I have found what I love here.
The dandelions call to me
And the white chestnut branches in the court.
Only I never saw another butterfly.
That butterfly was the last one.
Butterflies don’t live in here,
In the ghetto.

Pavel Friedmann, June 1942, Terezin Concentration Camp
