AMACO Welcomes New Craft Key Accounts Manager

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (July 31, 2009)
A new member joined the AMACO community this month with her sights set on growing the AMACO craft business. Becky Finch, Key Accounts Manager, brings with her years of experience in the creative and product development industry. Highlights of her resume include an MBA in Marketing from the Kelly Business School at Indiana University, as well as a Purdue University undergraduate degree. Ms. Finch will lead New Craft Product Development and is excited to be the first woman in this role.

Beyond academia, Ms. Finch has had a successful sales record in both the party goods industry and private label manufacturing. Ms. Finch understands the unique needs of AMACO clients such as the first grade art teacher who needs safe acmi glazes for her students’ art project to the professional potter looking for the right kiln.

Designers will appreciate Ms. Finch’s extensive knowledge of the AMACO catalog of self-hardening clays, including Marblex, Mexican Pottery Clay, Stonex and Magic Mud. These products all work well without a kiln. This is the type of detailed knowledge that Ms. Finch aims to share during her meetings with buyers, designers and other industry innovators.

Ms. Finch’s passion for craft extends well beyond the workplace. She has her own craft studio at home where she is looking forward to using AMACO products from clay molds, used slabs of clay, to Friendly Plastic Designer Sticks for her after hours craft projects. In the coming months, look for some of her creations on the AMACO on-line Craft Library.

While Ms. Finch’s extensive expertise will offer AMACO a critical edge in customer service, her passion and enthusiasm for the creative arts is evident in all that she does and says. “I’m excited about developing new craft products that complement AMACO’s existing business, as well as provide craft retailers and distributors with strong opportunities for growing their own business.”
