New FIMO Baking Temperature

New FIMO Baking Information Continued from front

Baking and beading with FIMO.

...changes in formulation may occur from time to time. In an effort to improve FIMO clays and increase the safety parameters for baking, the formulations of FIMO Classic and FIMO Soft have been improved. The result is an option for baking at lower temperatures. In this age of heightened environmental awareness, this also means that lower power usage and energy costs are an added benefit. The suggested baking temperature range is now 230-265 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes for every quarter-inch of thickness in order to reach the optimal strength of the clays. It is always suggested to pre-heat and use an oven thermometer whenever you bake clay. Also make sure not to bake too close to upper and/or lower heating elements. Check your oven as these conditions vary from unit to unit..
